*** What is a stock up price on rice?
Rice at Costco ranges from $.36 per lb (long grain white) up to $.90 for Organic Indian Brown Basmati. Brown rice is more expensive than white. Here, where the 8.8 oz container is $1 per pound and the 4.4 oz container is $2 a lb, Costco is cheaper. HOWEVER, for *this brand* this is a stock up price, even though you can get rice cheaper in a store brand or at Costco. So if you are looking for the CHEAPEST rice, buy something else. If you are devoted to this brand, then go ahead and stock up.
